Benchmarking is the process of creating the profile of the ideal candidate for a position, and then measuring all candidates against that profile.
It’s most commonly used in the interview process, but can also be used to measure an employee in their current role.
The ideal candidate means a lot of different things to different people. The Job Report obtains multiple perspectives of the job by surveying up to ten of your top performers in the given roll. The results tell us what competencies, behaviors, and values are most important about the job.
Then, the Job Benchmark combines the data from all of the results from the Job Report. All the diverse perspectives of the job provides a range of acceptable qualities necessary to hire top performers.
Next, as part of the selection process, new recruits complete a twenty-minute, online Job TriMetrix® DNA Assessment.
Finally, using The Job Gap Report, the candidates' results are compared to the Job Benchmark to determine if their attributes align with the job, with scores ranging from poor to excellent.
The Cost of a Bad Hire is astounding. How much are your bad hires costing you? Beyond financial implications, indirect costs include the cost of employee disengagement, loss of productivity, decreased morale, and reduced performance.
